Even Santa feels the Christmas rush, and he gets a little more than he bargained for when he rushes to deliver a present ...

My Animation submission for the 11 second club comp for December. Spent the majority of the month working on this, about 3 weeks all up for this project. I had a lot of fun working on it, and I learnt a lot along the way, especially in terms of how to achieve better results via different means. I'd love to hear feedback on this piece, anything that will help me improve before my next personal animated project. Sweet that is all and I hope you guys enjoy watching :)

Cheers buddy, its appreciated :) yeah, it ended up being quite a bit more work than I anticipated, trying to get it nicely polished, but it placed well in the end so I was glad. Cheers.

The animation is great, and perfectly synchs up with teh sound, but the sound choices are kinda... unfitting in my opinion. Snow has a very muffled crunch, yet his bots sound like he's stepping on a kitchen floor. Perheps if the sound were recorded on something like carpet? I guess sound is kinda minimal compared to the animation, which is overall nice with the physics and timing.

Cheers for the feedback ! The animation was for entry into the monthly 11 second club competition. The competition provides every entrant the sound file, so we all have to animate to that provided sound file. I definitely agree with you that it doesn't sound like snow, more like a kitchen floor followed by a door being slammed. However, with so many animators entering and animating to the same sound file, it's good to step out the boundaries a bit and use some imagination and animate something different, so that not all the entries are the same. Just trying to stand out a little and make the competition more fun for everyone :)

But thank you for the compliments and glad you enjoyed the animation :)

Wow! nice animation! Could you please tell me what programme have you used?

Thank you  ! I primarily used Autodesk Maya 2014, for modelling the assets and doing the animation. I did some texturing in Photoshop, created the 2D animated snow in Adobe Flash and finally comped everything together in Adobe After Effects :)
